First Vacuum Laser Welder suitable for High Vacuum

News from the think tank in Wehr:
We, KTW Systems, are proud to announce the development of the first Vacuum Laser Welder, which is able to weld in a high vaccum.
Our device weld in a high vacuum of 0,00005 mbar !!
Wherever the technology has reached a high level of development and high-quality welding esults are necessary, a welding process in a high
vacuum (< 0.003 mbar) is required in most cases.

Our patented device is a real alternative to the expensive and complex electron beam welders.

Due to the very pure and oxidation-free weld seam, gas-sensitive materials such as titanium, zirconium, molybdenum, tantalum, tungsten, vanadium, niobium and nickel can be welded excellently.

Important other product features:
– flexible in the size scaling of the chamber, making series production possible
– with 6 axis technology all geometries are weldable
– highly flexible number of laser beam heads, which reduces the necessary chamber volume
– no tendency to spatter and no porosity in reactive metals…..
